The Lab Tour − From molecules to medicine

The development of medicines takes approximately 12 years. During this time, highly qualified scientists work on finding the appropriate active substance in a large amount of candidates. They explore between 5,000 and 10,000 substances, the larger part of which already fail in the laboratory. Only one of the four candidates that reach the clinical trial phase ultimately achieves regulatory approval.

The lab tour offers you a journey through the world of research at Bayer Schering Pharma. Take a tour from "Target Discovery" to "Approval". You have the option to join a tour guide on her way through research and development in a 20-minute film which introduces the day-to-day business.
