Andreas Fibig
- Andreas Fibig, Chairman of the Board of Management of Bayer Schering Pharma AG
Andreas Fibig was born in Berlin, Germany, on February 23, 1962. Following his college education, Fibig joined the former Schering AG as a commercial trainee and assumed the role of a country coordinator with responsibility for sales and marketing in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
In October 1984 he joined Boehringer Ingelheim KG eventually becoming head of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Mercosur region.
In 2000 he joined the former Pharmacia & Upjohn GmbH as head of Pharmacia’s German operations. Following Pharmacia’s acquisition by Pfizer he transferred to Pfizer and became responsible for Pfizer’s operations in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining Bayer Schering Pharma Fibig has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Pfizer in the USA with responsibility for the company’s Central Nervous System, Inflammation and Pain business in the United States.
Andreas Fibig is a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Council of the Americas. He is co-author of Strategies for Pharma Management, published in Germany.
Andreas Fibig is married and has two children.
